Congratulations!

On 19th January 2011, at 9pm, George Yang received his main round Uni offer. He got his 1st preference of Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the University of Sydney, Conservatorium. We wish George will achieve great results in the 4 years of Uni to come.

On 6th January 2011, George Yang had been invited by Hong Kong Charming Voice Music World Association to play world famous cello works: "The Swan" by Saint Saens and "Scherzo" by Van Goens at the Auditorium of North District Town Hall in Hong Kong. He had given the audience a very graceful atmosphere in the New Year celebration concert.

On 16th May 2010, KMEC student George Ge Yang performed cello solo called George Yang'Azalea’, one of the theme songs of the Chinese film “Sparkling Red Star” . The song was arranged by composer Xin guang Chen who works in the Shanghai Film Orchestra. This piece was played by George was the premier performance. The cellist George Ge Yang was invited by ‘Good Friends Chamber Choir’ to perform in their “5th Anniversary Concert《Melody of Movie & Opera》”.

               Congratulations

On 3rd October 2009, Karlyang Music Education Centre student Leon LI  performed piano solo in Junior Music Festival. He gained third prize.

 On the evening of 12th September 2009, KMEC student George Ge Yang performed in a concert to raise money to help the people who suffered in the Tai Wan natural disaster. George played ‘Elegie’ by French composer Gabriel Faure on the cello with piano accompanist Vivian Chen. The concert was organised by Australian Cultural Arts and Music Association.

 On 8th June 2008, Karlyang Music Education Centre’s 9 years old piano student Nancy Ni donated $200 from her accumulated pocket money, to express her love for the sufferers of Si Chuan earthquake natural disaster. The donation concert was held at Hurstville Civic Centre and organised by the Australia Chinese Musicians Association.

On the evening of 9th March 2008 7:30pm, Karlyang Music Education Centre participated in "Good Friend Chamber Choir’s 3rd Anniversary Concert" held at the Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The program includes ‘The Swan’ by Saint-Saen, which was performed by KMEC’s student George Ge Yang on the cello along with Ballet dancers and Vocal trio. This concert was organised by Good Friend Chamber Choir.

 On the night of 18th November 2007, a teacher from Karlyang Music Education Centre participated in "The Music of the Night Concert". ‘The Swan’ by Saint-Saen was performed on the cello by Juan Wu along with Ballet dancers and vocal Trio. This concert was organised by the Good Friends Chamber Choir at the Independent Theatre (269 Miller Street North Sydney).

 On the evening of 8th July 2006, Karlyang Music Education Centre participated in "Good Friends Chamber Choir’s 1st Anniversary Concert" which was held in Hurstville. Our student Betty Zuo played a well-known piano piece "Variations on a Theme by Paganini" and received some excellent comments from the audience.

 On the evening of 8th July 2006, Karl Yang, Juan Wu and George Yang participated in "Good Friend Chamber Choir’s 1st Anniversary Concert" which was held in Hurstville. The group played two well-known string ensemble pieces: Haydn's "Serenade" and Mozart's Serenade 1st movement in G "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik", which won praise from the audience.
