Magical Majesty Concerts

Magical Majesty Concerts which features George Yang as the cello soloists with Woollahra Philharmonic Orchestra and guest conductor, Luis Madrid. This program consists of the Dvorak Cello concerto and Greig’s the Symphonic Dances, but also has a built in encore – Brahms Hungarian Dance number 6.
Cellist George Yang
George Yang is a recent graduate of the Masters of Music (Performance) degree at Sydney Conservatorium of Music with the support of Patricia Lucas Music Achievement Scholarship. Prior to his Post-graduate studies, he completed his Bachelor of Music (Performance) under the tutelage of Georg Pedersen in 2014.
During his studies at the Conservatorium, George served as the Principal cellist of the Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra from 2014-2016. His graduate recital program included the Prokofiev and Shostakovich Cello Sonatas with Phillip Shovk as Associate Artist. He was a participant of the Australian Youth Orchestra’s National Music Camp in Canberra (2014) and Adelaide (2015), in which he has worked with conductors such as Richard Gill, James Judd and Douglas Boyd. He has been part of Sydney Northern Chamber Orchestra, and went on a tour in Colombia to play at the international choral music festival ‘Cantata America’ with Colombian and Venezuelan Orchestras. In addition, George has been an active member of Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, The Metropolitan Orchestra and Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also performed in his annual quartet concert series 2014-2016 at Mount Heritage Hotel with Russian, American and French music themes respectively.
In 2015, George went on the Great Northern Tour with David Miller AM and four other musicians, they presented chamber music concerts in Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest, Nambucca Heads, Coffs Harbour, Dorrigo, Boambee, Laurieton, Forster, Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Taree, and Kendell.
George had performed in various venues in China, Hong Kong, South America and Australia including Sydney Opera House, Angel place recital hall, Llwellyn Hall in ANU school of music, Wollongong Town Hall, Chatswood Concourse, Verbrugghen hall, Elder Hall in Adelaide, Auditorio Leon de Greiff and Club of the Professors of National University.
George has been teaching cello since 2008. He teaches at Conservatorium’s Open Academy "play at the con", Karlyang Music Education Centre, Lane Cove Public School, Gladesville Public School, Lindfield Public School and Covenant Christian School. He has taught many students at different levels of musicality and understands the importance of planning and tailoring lessons according to the student's needs.

Yellow River Cantata Concert

 Commemorating 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and World Anti-Fascist War. The concert was held at Sydney Opera House on 15th August 2015. Organized by Ausfeng Group and Australia Soong Chingling Fundation. Karl Yang Conducted China National Opera and Dance Drama Theater Chorus. Performed three Choral Works, the Concert were a great success.

Gather Together For The Future

The First International Art Festival 2014 in Sydney. The concerts was held at Sydney Opera House on 30th July 2014 at 7:00pm. Organized by Beijing Sunset Show Senior Culture Development Foundation China. Karl Yang Conducted The Australia Yellow River Chorus with Sydney Conerstone Chamber Orchestra. Performed three world classics: Gloria Music by Antonio Vivaldi, Humming Chorus From Opera Madama Butterfly Music by Giacomo Puccini Arranged by Karl Yang, Nessun Dorma From OperaTurandot Music by Puccini Arranged by Karl Yang. The Concerts were a great success.

The Heavenly Song Concerts 2014

The Heavenly Song Concerts Was held at Sydney Town Hall on 22nd March 2014 (3:00pm and 7:30pm). Organized by The China Soul for Christ Foundation. The style of the concerts range from traditional hymns to popular hymns. Sung by soloists from China Taiwan HK and America, accompanied by 180 people Sydney Canaan Choir, Band and Organ, Conducted by Karl Yang. The Concerts were again a great success.

The Heavenly Song Concerts

 

The Heavenly Song Concert Will be held at the Sydney Town Hall on 22nd March 2014 (3:00pm and 7:30pm) Organized by The China Soul for Christ Foundation. The concerts is in the style of a music outreach. Karl Yang will be conduct the Sydney Canaan Choir of 200 Voices, they will be performing Canaan Hymns conposed by Mrs. Xiao Min, and the traditional Hymns arranged by Mr. An-lun Huang, Oliver Huang and Karl Yang.

Voice of the Yellow River Philharmonic Concert

Voice of the Yellow River Philharmonic Concert was held at The Verbruggen Hall,Sydney Conservatorium of Music on 25th August 2013. It was a very successful concert. Karl Yang conducted Australia Yellow River Philharmonic Chorus with the talents of China Xi'an Conservatorium of Music.
